Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Žilina

a three-nave Roman Catholic parish church traditionally said to date back to the 14th century, probably built on the site of Žilina Castle. It is the most important and oldest building in the town centre. It is built in a Renaissance style and its tower is 51 metres high. The church’s free-standing bell tower, “Burian’s Tower” is reminiscent of the famous Italian municipal bell towers or campaniles.
