Gaderská Valley Blatnica

the best known valley in Turiec, 16 km long, is one of the natural wonders of Slovakia. You can find a ruined castle and a cave that you can enter at your own risk, an abundance of flowers and the Gaderská Brook. The Gaderská Valley is best appreciated from the saddle of a bicycle. This is a much faster way to get to the Devil’s Gate, which guards the way to the end of the valley. On foot the journey takes 4 hours. The valley’s scenery has been a hit with filmmakers as well as tourists, appearing in the war film “The Valley”, the fairytale “Plavčík and Vratko” and also the first ever Slovak film “Jánošík”.
