Skalná päsť (Jánošíkova päsť) (Rock Fist – Jánošík’s Fist) Lisková

This 6 meter rock formation at the foot of mount Mních, lies approximately 40 meters above the road from Lisková to Ružomberok. According to legend, this is where Jánošík (the Slovak Robin Hood) and his highwaymen planned to rob Count Révaya, the oppressor of the people in this region. During the encounter, Jánošík run out from the group of highwaymen and took care of the Count and his guards with his bare hands. His fellow friends carved the nearby rock in the form of a clenched fist to memorialize this brave act of the legendary hero Jánošík.
